With the development of the new media, Chinese newspapers have to face the fact that they are becoming less prominent. The digital transformation of the traditional media seems to be the best way to survive. Also they need to realize that human resources are the key point of the digital transformation. So build the efficient human resource management system is the responsibility of traditional media.The study is on human resource management of newspapers during the digital transformation. And the research problems are like these:First, what is the digital transition of newspaper? Second, what challenges are newspapers’ human resource management facing with? Third, what and how can they do?During the study, with the help of literature review, expert interviews and cases analysis, it is very clear that digital transformation means new minds, new systems, and new production process, new profit model. So the point is how to rebuild the human resource management. There are eight ways to improve the human resource management level. Like human resources planning and design, build up recruitment sourcing channel, set performance assess criteria and compensation system, high motivation, training program, career planning and so on.
