In the 21st century, the reform of publishing industry continues to accelerate the economic development of the marketing and the process of publishing. Based on the practical and theoretical study of the publishing industry, more and more sectors of the community begin to concern, research focus from the original concept of the problem, understanding the problem, and gradually deep into the question of how the development of the publishing industry. With the advancement of the process of globalization of the world economy, the development of the knowledge economy era, and modern information technology, the fastest ever publishing industry, extensive and profound changes.In the year of 2012, China’s population has reached 3.35 billion, while China’s economy continued to rise, people’s living standards improved significantly. In the year of 2013, China’s GNP has reached 56.491625 trillion RMB, China has become the second country of the GNP ranking around the world, running after the United States. Currently, the consumption structure of China’s population is in consumer spending accounting for a new accelerated transition, educational and cultural entertainment growing. The number of China’s urban population is growing at a stable rate of turnover year by year, in the year of 2013, the urban population has reached 44% of the population in total, while the demand for education and entertainment are also increasing.As one of the most important industries that is facing economic development mode shift, the publishing industry is confronted with unprecedented challenges, how to optimize the industrial structure adjustment of publishing has become a hot research now. As the publishing industry is mainly dominated by content production, if we want to optimize the industrial structure fundamentally, we must start from the industrial structure, analyze and solve the problem in the industrial structure of publishing industry in China, optimize and upgrade the industrial structure and finally achieve the long- term target of rational development of the publishing industry in China. The thesis uses the literature method to summarize the old literature that researched on the industrial structure. Based on data analysis, the thesis uses quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to analyze the industrial structure from the point of overall size and structure refinement of publishing products to China publishing industry in a detailed way, and extracted problems from the development of industrial structure. In the end, the thesis uses summarization method to give suggestions and enlightenment for the problems in the development of industrial structure.The first chapter is the introduction part. It contains the background and significance of the topic of this thesis, summarizes the current relevant theories about publishing product structure and introduces the topic idea, research method, innovations and its structure. The Second Chapter is the Basic Structure. It defines the publishing industry, its character, publishing industrial structure and publishing product structure. In the third chapter, it uses the empirical theory analysis to analyze the current situation of publishing product structure in a detailed way. In the fourth chapter, it summarizes the problems in the development of publishing product structure. And the fifth chapter gives the advice and suggestions of the problems:strengthen the development efforts of new books, relax policy restrictions for journals appropriately, restore the public function of newspaper; Draw on the experience of advanced development pattern of the digital publishing of Amazon in USA and create the brand advantage of the publishing product. The sixth chapter summarizes the whole thesis and points out the disadvantages of the research.The innovation of this paper is to start from the perspective of the publishing industry, representing a systematic study of the concept of the structure of the system of publishing products, the use of empirical research methods, more complete on the current development of China’s publishing product structure are analyzed in more detail proposed structure of publishing products in development problems and finally gives the corresponding countermeasures.
