The Design And Implementation Of ZigBee Based Home Security Monitoring System

With the advances in technology and the raising of people’s living standard, people pay more and more attentions to their living environments, and they want an intelligent living space which makes their lives safer, more comfortable and more convenient. The traditional home security monitoring system with complex wiring and low efficiency can’t achieve real-time data acquisition and meet the requirements of the people. The home security system takes the advantage of computer technology and network technology to combine all the sub-system related with our home lives together and manages the whole, giving us comfortable and convenient living environments.This thesis presents the design and implement on hardware and software for home security monitoring system. Based on the characteristics of home monitoring system, the thesis presents the technology which is based on zigbee wireless tree sensor network system, by sampling and processing of the concerned data or parameters with the temperature sensor, smoke sensor and infrared sensors. The home security monitoring system based on zigbee can not only complete monitoring data or parameters with the sensors real time on-line, but also give an alarm in case of any abnormality according to the threshold parameters. PC monitoring system designed by C# language can be achieved to display and storage the data and parameters by the real-time monitoring system. By setting the threshold parameters, the system can be implemented to control the household electrical appliances and the curtains through the relay and stepping motor. Furthermore, experiment result shows that the home security monitoring system is viable and practicable and is able to accomplish data acquisition, processing, and transmission precisely and reliably. In the further, we plan to improve the performance and it is planned to be used in actual home security monitoring domains.
