In a highly competitive market environment, product development have very high demands, and how to play each person’s role and work in a coordinated manner are not easy jobs. Without the help of computer system, it’s more difficult to achieve the desired results. So, large-scale manufacturing enterprises need a product and process design management system, hoping that the system take product as the core, achieving integrated management of the relevant data, processes and resources of product.The system used the concept of whole optimization to describe product design data, design process, BOM design, cards and resources, standardizing product lifecycle management, keeping consistency and traceability of product data. The core idea was the orderliness of design data and optimization and resource sharing of the design process, unifying the management design, the work process of process stage and the data generated. The system based on RichClient structure of C/S mode, the development tool is VS2008 C#, the database used Microsoft SQL Server2012. The realization of the system used many key technologies, including loading and operation of common tree structure, License licensing technology, loading and operation of of list control page, special characters processing and page controls verification technology, and the implementation of system operation log.I just participated in the design and implementation of four businesses, those were product mix, product configuration, category management and process management. Product mix was one of the core functions of PDM, this function can manage and maintain the product mix. For the product mix which the design have been completed, according to customer orders and combining with the basic type of product mix and optional equipment, to conduct product configuration, form accurate product mix, thus meeting the different needs of different customers. Category management can classify and list parts respectively in accordance with the ordinary parts, GM parts, GB parts and class attributes, conducting unified management. Process management dynamic control the work flow, and user-defined image file storage, modification, approval and other task process templates achieved dynamic circulation of tasks, restricting staff privileges during circulation, real-time tracking the flow of tasks, including the new process module, modifying and deleting the original work processes.After being used, the system can help product design for organizations, perfect the change of product mix, track the design concepts during the progress, timely and easily find the archived data and related product information, can coordinate process events in the entire product life cycle for organizations, such as design review, approval, change, work-flow optimization, product launch and other events.
