Design Of Real-time 3D Map Service Based On The Android Platform

As the capability of data processing of smart phones constantly enhances and the way of man-machine interactive innovates, the advantage of the electronic map in the smart mobile platform is more and more big. The function of map query which is exact and usable has become an indispensable part of People’s Daily life.The familiar mobile map is also plane map though it applied the technology of Satellite map and 3D view which get through looking down at the earth. It is the advantage that users can get the information of the whole region conveniently. At the same time, there is a problem that the information which is provided by the map is different from the scene in user’s eyes. When users want to distinguish location and orientation they have to translate the information of the map into scene in mind.The 3D scene is built and achieved through applying 3ds max and Unity rendering engine in the paper. And then real-time 3D map service based on the Android platform is designed. Furthermore, taking Beijing Forestry University as the example, the 3D display of architectural scene is achievement. This system secondary development is based on the Baidu map API. It contains the function of information services and campus roaming and makes mobile map combine with 3D roaming and implements the innovation of the way of 3D roaming interaction.
