Relevant data shows that in the past, the key reason to aggravate casualties in accident is that the ambulance man cannot be called to rescue in time. In actual scenes,such conditions will greatly increase time for rescue, that no other vehicles or pedestrians pass the accident area in a short time, or the injured unable to call for help by themselves, or the injured can not tell the ambulance man about the accident location exactly.Based on the above situations, the paper analyzed the hardware structure of Android smartphone, and it chosen Eclipse ADT(Android application development tools) platform with the Java programming language, then designed the system overall scheme and four main functional modules, including accident detection, location acquisition, contacts operation, and emergency message sending, then combined them by MVC(Model-View-Controller) software pattern; the paper also studied monitoring the occurrence of accident with acceleration sensor in the phone, combined with integrated positioning function of Baidu Maps API, to obtain exact accident locations,and edit them to emergency messages, then send a distress signal to designated contact person or accident emergency rescuing platform by GSM(Global System for Mobile Communication). An accident automatic accident alarm positioning system,which is based on Android smartphone, has been developed. This system is easy to install and use, and it's able to come true relevant functions only by a common Android smartphone, with no other external devices. Taking the real applications into account, the system provides a deferred alarm function for 40 s, the user can choose to cancel or send a distress message immediately under the circumstances; in addition, it also provides monitoring alerts for switching on or off the positioning signal, which ensures required environmental conditions of normal operation of the system. By the results of its actual running test, and compared to similar products currently on the market, it has features including higher automation low cost for usage and maintenance and easy promotion.
