The fast axial flow (FAF) CO2laser is the mainstream industrial gas laser, because of itshigh power, stable operation and beam quality advantages, the FAF CO2laser is increasinglybeing welcomed in the processing industry, and has wide applications in many industries.With the development of laser technology, industrial gas laser has toward intelligent,easy-oriented direction. Aiming at the CP4000series of FAF CO2laser control system, withthe expansion of industrial scale, as the core of control system, PLC has been graduallyrevealed its shortcomings, so this paper put forward a kind of laser control system based onPROFIBUS-DP bus technology. This paper describes the overall scheme based onPROFIBUS-DP bus control system, the design of DP intelligent slave includes hardware andsoftware, and implement the communication between the upper computer and the lowermachine.Firstly, the FAF CO2laser control system is based on PLC as the core control. Based onthe communication protocol of PROFIBUS-DP, the working principle and structure units ofthe laser are combined, and then the specific programs are proposed which are usingPROFIBUS-DP field bus to replace PLC. By using SPC3and FPGA the interface ofintelligent slave is designed, SIEMENS WINCC configuration software is used to design theupper computer interface and make use of SOFTPLC to simulate the master of DP system.Secondly, this paper focuses on the realization of intelligent DP slave, including thesoftware and hardware design. The circuit of SPC3+FPGA is the core in the hardware design,this paper makes use of Verilog hardware description language to write programs, which isworking properly driver the chip, abandoned the consistent use of SPC3+MCU intelligentslave scheme this study makes full use of FPGA processing speed, scalability and fastercommunication speed and characteristics, completed the development of intelligent slave.Finally, in WINCC configuration soft platform the upper computer interface of laser isdesigned, based on the each unit of laser, while using serial debugging assistant for systemdebugging experiment. The software is used to simulate laser RS232devices exchanges data with the upper computer that is run in another computer.The each unit of FAF laser can access the PROFIBUS-DP bus system by the intelligentslave interface, such that the laser control system is more convenient and more efficient. Thelaser’s PC interface provides a good platform for human-computer interaction. The paper’sresearch has long-term significance for the development of the laser.
