As technology of laser processing becomes more mature and the laser of highperformance, high cost performance and miniaturization comes out, the laser markingsystem is developing into the portable, miniaturized and split one with low powerconsumption, and high cost performance. In recent years, due to the popularization andapplication of the Tablet PC. Tablet PC based on Linux framework will become themainstream equipment of host of industrial control systems. Motion control card basedon USB interface has the characteristics of user-friendliness, hot plug function anduniversality. Combining with the Linux host tablet and using USB control card, thedevelopment of portable micro laser marking system has become research focus of theindustry.Motion control card which was made by CBIB is a control device based on USBinterface, which provides many functions such as digital to analog conversion of twochannel16bits, digital to analog conversion of two channel12bits, serial data input andoutput for16bits etc. In order to make the motion control card realized the function oflaser marking, the firmware and the device driver program of USB interface chip whichis CY7C68013have been developed on the basis of this hardware.17API functions arepackaged into library which is divided into five categories. Application of laser markingcan call the interface of library and realized the functions of device management,marking data transmission, the control of galvanometer and laser. A set of test softwarebased on interface operation has been designed and developed for test the functions ofdevice driver and API libraryBy online marking test,the motion control card which was made by CBIB has thecharacteristics of stability, timeliness, and data transmission security and reliability inLinux from experimental results, which will also make all-round control of the workingstatus of laser equipment and meet the requirements of laser marking in Linux.
