Currently, the feature of manufacturing information technology is building model by stages such as product design, analysis, manufacturing and assembly. It results in high information redundancy and poor data consistency, and the product information is hard to be integrated and inherited. The ideal information technology is supposed to own functions, like timeliness, parallelism, information’s following property, using and sharing of information with low cost and reusability of information results, to realization product integration and inheritance. Building new model structure theories, researching the storage structure and data modeling method of model information and founding software system based on information integration of PLM is its ideal channel.This paper analyzes a new product information model named of AMFB(shortened from A Model with Four Bodies), which integrates basic body, retrieval body, control body and intelligent body, and researches on basic body and retrieval body primarily based on‘Advanced Design Theory and Method of Engineering and Product’― Key Project the National Natural Science Foundation(60635020). The main contents and work of this paper are as follows: Firstly, the data structure of new model is put forward creatively and the contact between geometric topology and IUI (Independent Unit Information) in product design, analysis, manufacture and assembly phase is built based on analyzing the function of retrieval body. The information storage structure of‘model+ relation+ database’is advanced. Secondly, IUI is studied and object oriented IUI data model is built based on analyzing and designing the independent unit. Thirdly, the storage database structure of model information and file structure of AMFB model are contrived. Fourthly, the system architecture and data structure of Open CASCADE and the application framework and attribute mechanism principle of OCAF are researched. The relationship between geometric topology and body attribute of Open CASCADE is analyzed. Finally, AMFSDI software system is developed by using VC++ based on Open CASCADE development platform and Access relational database. It implements the information storage organization of AMFB model.And the process of building information storage model of AMFB is illuminated by storing a shaft part’s information.The research of this paper has a certain theoretical and practical significance for integration, inheritance and reuse of product information.
