With the popular of CAD/CAM technology in the manufacturing industry,the design and manufacturing process of enterprise product is toward the direction of integration,intelligent and automation with the help of CAD/CAM technology.At present,the vast majority of manufacturing industries rely on CAD/CAM software to design and production of products,such as CATIA,UG,Pro / E,etc.,and therefore produce a huge amount of product data.If these product model data can be effectively managed,it is bound to increase the core competitiveness of enterprises.However,how to share and exchange the data between each CAD/CAM system is an obstacle to the development of intelligent integration in the manufacturing industry.The STEP(Standard for the Exchange of Product Modal Data)standard is to establish a data model that covers the entire life cycle of a product,by providing a neutral mechanism that does not depend on any system,so as to provides a feasible method to solve the difficulty of product data exchange and sharing among different CAD systems.On the other hand,the modeling function of CAD software is developed based on the kernel of the model,and the dynamic operation and display of model data can't be separated from the processing of modeling kernel.This paper designs a set of 3D model parts management system,based the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing model parts management system and the market survey.This paper focuses on the analysis of the open source library Open CASCADE development technology and basic working principle,which including OCCT(Open CASCADE Technology),the composition of the class library,visualization technology and data exchange technology,and other functions.This system achieves a three-dimensional model of the product display,and the model of the size of the plane map and attribute information can displayed for the user to browse.In addition,the data exchange module is also designed to solve the problem of data sharing and cooperative work between parts library management system and CAD/CAM system platform,which can meet the needs of data exchange of different neutral file at the same time.Finally,the system can realize multi azimuth information display and data exchange at a low development cost,and therefore,can well meet the needs of small and medium enterprises.
