With the development of mold industry, the proportion of standardized parts in the mold product is more and bigger. But the mold standardization level is low, and the usage proportion of standardized parts which both affect the mold quality and the manufacture cycle is low. Therefore, building the standard part storehouse will be a safeguard to enhance the model-making speed and improve the design quality. At the same time, the parameterization technology can revise the design model through adjusting size parameters, and conveniently founds series of design proposals in the shape or the similar function. It can enhance the rated capacity greatly. Therefore, the parameterization technology is an important topic in the CAD technology application domain.In this thesis, the situation of mold technology and standardized mold library both at home and abroad were analyzed. The parameterization technologies are studied.Standard parts were classified by taking the standard used in factory and the national mold standard as the main source. Standardized model storehouse and the characteristic parameter database were established by using Access.By CATIA V5, stamping dies standardized parts and frames model storehouses based on the characteristic parameterization have been established, and the client side application procedure has been designed taking Visual Basic 6.0 as the development language, and standard models parametric has been realized driven.Then the whole structure of a Web-based mold library has been established. Using network development technology such as ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, as well as database technology, we designed the function modules of standardized parts information inquired, browser, 3D model download and the parametric driven based on Web.In this thesis, two different versions of standardized parts library have been established. After the enterprise application, they have satisfied designer’s different demands. They realized the standardized parts and frames resources sharing, reduced the design cycle, and were of practicability and usability.
