The rise of the Internet in the1960s has given great changes to people’s study, working and life. With the development of the internet, especially the growing communications of video and audio, the traditional network architecture of the internet is under great pressure in data transmission and dealing with the real-time data. So, people pay more attention to future network based on named content. In this context, the Information Centric Network (ICN), as the representative of the network of the future research is developing rapidly, and gets more and more attention of the researchers. Unlike the communication mechanism of TCP, which is end to end, ICN is content-centric network and separates content with the place where it stored. That is to say, in information centric network, content itself is more important than the place where it stores for users.With the ubiquitous cache feature, there will be more sources for the request data in information centric network. In the case, the traditional TCP transport control protocol will undoubtedly cause a surge in network redundancy, low inefficiency and other weaknesses. Network coding is a good solution to the disorder and high redundancy through encoding and decoding the packets. Therefore, incorporating the network coding with the information centric network is a most highlight of the article.Firstly, this paper describes the architecture of the information centric network, the principles of network coding and its advantages and disadvantages. Then, we propose a novel Network Codes-based Transmission Control Protocol, which can selects source dynamically (SSDNC). For the feature of receiver-driven, all control modules are finished in the receiver end. The use of network coding can greatly eliminate the difference of all sources, and can significantly improve the transmission efficiency, reduce network redundancy. Although the sources of the content store are supposed to be stochastic and dynamic according to the ubiquitous cache feature, the prediction and selection source are the problem that must be considered. Our protocol can predict the number of source and select several good source to transport data, which can ensure the best efficiency of network.Finally, we make the experiment of the protocol with ndnSIM, a network simulator ns-3based. Then, we analyze the result through the goodput, block delay and redundancy. The result shows our protocol can significantly improve network throughput and reduce network redundancy.
