In recent years, with the gradual development of the social economy and industrialization, environmental pollution problems begin to attract more and more attention and the work pressure of Environmental Protection Agency is increasing all the time. The traditional management model and working methods are unable to meet the actual needs of the current pollution abatement management. Therefore, the introduction of a new advanced pollution reduction management information system, combined with national and regional status of pollution reduction, is of great importance.Firstly, the background and significance of the development of this system as well as a brief introduction of main targets is outlined. The detailed design of the system is based on the specific needs of the Environmental Protection Agency, taking particular regional status of Fang Shan district in Beijing into account. The implementation of the system is based on Browser/Server architecture and web.py framework. We use the popular open source database, MySQL as the database of our system and chose a combination of Nginx and FastCGI as the server. The system also passed a rigorous unit test and integration test which ensure the security and stability of the system. The system consists of seven modules including the report of new expansion project, emission reduction project management, statistical reporting, user management, document management, information management and information emissions accounting analysis. Each module is subdivided into several small modules between which there are also some unified data interfaces. The number of the front pages is148, and there are more than40,000lines of source code and75database tables.During the actual use, the system meets the major business needs of the Environmental Protection Agency, greatly improving the efficiency and management of the daily work, achieving the desired goals.
