In recent years, the industry has been developing so fast, which has caused a lotof pollution problems, especially the air pollution becoming more and more serious.Thus it has a higher requirement of Industrial soot and gas detection. But thetraditional and portable dust and gas detection equipment is not convenient and it hasthe shortcomings of dealing with the data at any time and so on. With thedevelopment of technology, smart handheld devices like smart phones and ipads havebeen deeply put into people’s life and used in industrial control. If we use the smartportable devices in the process of soot and gas detection, we will expand the limits oftraditional gas detection a lot, thus improving its practicality.This thesis is about the use of Android device and ZigBee wirelesscommunication technology and the study of a portable soot and gas AutomaticControl System Interface Software which is based on Android platform. Through thisstudy, we have mastered the technology of Android system beenmulti-threaded,message passing mechanism, data Storage, USB port programmingtechnologies and so on. Based on ZigBee communication agreement and detectiondevice which are used to data communication, we have achieved eight main functionsincluding parameter settings, Cloth Set, measurement conditions, flue gasmeasurement, soot sampling, data query, data communication and device protection.The desire and achievement of the system includes three processes. First, we haveto consider the mutual functional requirements and the non-functional requirementsincluding the real-time, the ease and the high reliability between the system and thesoot and smoke detection equipment. Then we can build the use case model in orderto analyze the demand and to determine the technology selection. Second, based on the analysis of demands, we can desire the summary and the architecture programs ofthe system. Furthermore, based on the desire of the summary, we can determine thedata structure and basic algorithm of every functional model combining the packagediagram, class diagram and the flow chart. At last, based on the case above, we canachieve this system by processing.Used for a period by a dust and gas detection company, this system in this thesishas tested that it can achieve the goal of controlling the detection device toaccomplish soot and gas detection and to receive the detection data. Besides, it canfulfill the users’ functional and un-functional requirements. In the end, it overcomesthe shortcomings of traditional portable soot and gas detection device.
