Grain is a basic substance that people need to live on, and it is the important supplieswhich are related to national security, stability and economic development. At present, thegrain quality detection technology in granary monitoring applications has been increasinglymature, but the stored grain quantity of detection technology is still difficult to apply. Grainquantity audit and statistical works in the grain depot of our country, are directly related tonational grain macro-control policy. The way of artificial regulation adopted by grain reservedepot, and complex factors from the human management, not only make the supervision andwork efficiency decline severely, but also make national grain loss more, and have a badlyeffect on the national grain security strategy. Aimed at these problems, real-time detectionsystem and statistical analysis work for grain stored quantity in granary, needed urgently inmodern grain depot management.Based on the technical background of domestic and foreign research, a method for storedgrain reserves detection in granary and its’IOT statistic system is studied in this paper, and anovel method for stored grain reserves detection in granary is proposed firstly. This method isdesigned by marking identifications inside granary based on spatial encoding, mainly for twocommon granary model built. And the initialized image and actual measurement image aboutthe wall inside granary are acquired. Combining image processing technology, it is achievedby applying corner detection and image registration algorithms with data processing, torecognize characteristic information from the two images. Then the grain’s volume reservesare calculated to accomplish intelligent detection in granary according to stored grain pile’svolume algorithms. After the feasibility of the algorithm are tested through the simulationexperiment, the stored grain reserves detected subsystem in granary is designed. And it canrealize the real-time and security function for the single storage detection due to the way ofthe nodes working. Finally, the single storage detection subsystem as a basic unit is jointed tomake up lots of storages application. Then IOT statistic system’s overall solution for thestored grain reserves in granary is designed, and the management platform framework based on cloud computing is proposed. It provides a feasible reference and useful help for furtherresearch or application about the Internet of things and cloud computing technology inmodern grain depot management system. This article work mainly launches from thefollowing three aspects:(1) The current domestic and foreign research on the stored grain quantity detected ingranary, and the background of IOT with cloud computing are made comprehensiveelaboration and analysis, and then the necessity of study on this subject is specified. A novelmethod for stored reserves detection in granary is proposed, and image measurementalgorithm based on spatial encoding is studied and designed. And it is achieved the volumereserves measurement of the stored grain in granary. Then through the simulation experiment,its’ results confirm that this method is feasible, and it has the merits of simple algorithm andhigh efficiency.(2) The stored grain reserves detected subsystem in granary is des igned based on themethod for stored reserves detection in granary, including system function design, systemhardware and Software design. And the subsystem is tested by PC monitoring interface indesigned Software.(3) Through the study on IOT and cloud computing, IOT statistic system’s overallsolution for the stored grain reserves in granary is designed. And system transmitted networkand cloud computing platform is analyzed in detail.
