Data Acquisition System Research And Implementation Based On Vxworks

Data acquisition and processing technology is a hot and difficult research in the field oftheoretical and production practice and application.From the1950s to now, the developmentof data collection technology is changing rapidly both at home and abroad.Newly emergingdata acquisition system is using DSP as a data acquisition system’s CPU, an embeddedoperating system as a symbol of the embedded data acquisition system. This design is thespecific application of embedded in the data acquisition system.The thesis is under the background of Beijing Fountain Microsystems Co.,Ltd. in acertain project development needs of acquisition and processing the cable communicationssignal,the data acquisition system is designed based on CPCI bus.With Power PC architectureMCP-750IPC and data acquisition module FTC-6010hardware platform, the actualdevelopment process use host-target machine structure, through Ethernet and serial port tocommunication, very simple to operation. Host is a laptops running VxWorks integrateddevelopment environment Tornado, the target machine is the key design of the whole system,Power PC CPU running the real-time operating system VxWorks for PPC.The Paper first introduces embedded operating systems, data acquisition systems,VxWorks integrated development environment, VxWorks environment and application designand development driven basic knowledge of the general steps, and then discusses how tobuild hardware and software platform of the data acquisition system in detail, focuses on thehardware design of the data acquisition card and its related knowledge of the bus and thebridge piece. The software design of data acquisition system in Chapter IV is the main pointof this article, DSP software development process in Visual DSP++integrated developmentenvironment to complete, including AD, DA, chip select, interrupt, and other modules togenerate the required binary application files, VxWorks driver software is completed withTornado integrated development environment, including the AD-DA, interrupts, Flashprogram online updates, and other modules to generate the required VxWorks image files. Theend of the article is the system debugging and verification, from the construction of the testenvironment to the program compiled and downloaded then to the system function andperformance verification, proved that the data acquisition system is stability and collect datain real time.
