Due to special geographical and political reasons, Wholly dependingon “transfusion” of government funds, books published in Tibet underpinthe mainstream ideology among common people in Tibet. However, thepublishing industry in Tibet lags in the market because it is unable to“generate its own blood”. From the perspective of industry analysis, thisthesis aims to examine the publish industry in Tibet in a diachronic waybased on industrial statistics to identify existing problems, followed bydiscussion and solution.Like other publications, books published in Tibet are also ofeconomic, social and cultural values. But they, at the same time, havetheir own distinguished characteristics. On the one hand, ethnicfactorslimit the development of the book publishing in Tibet, while, on the otherhand, they attach special functions to the book publishing in Tibet asfollows:1, working as political and ideological guidance;2, helping thegeneralization of advanced technologies;3, improving the culturalinheritance and communication; and4, enriching spiritual and culturallife. In other words, these ethnic factors provide publishing industry inTibet with development opportunities.Based on statistics about publishing industry in Tibet, problems oftheme, talents, distribution and system were identified. From theperspective of industry, measures like changing the concepts towardsthe system and optimizing the specific publishing process are advised tobe taken to tackle the problems. Also, following the trend of digitalizingand making full use of the unique advantages of publishingindustry inTibet can be another solution.
