Research On The Problems And Countermeasures In The Publishing Management Of Books In Heilongjiang Province

Based on the methods of document research and actual survey data, the thesisanalyzes the current situation of the publishing management in Heilongjiang Province,and helps reader get a general idea of existing problems. The main problems are asfollows: insufficient government support in leading book publishing industry to apositive development, lack of a sound blueprint in the industry development, imperfectregulations and laws, poor management in ISBN and CIP. Meanwhile, there is notenough attention paid to publishing quality control and editors’ training. Therefore, thesense of responsibility and the capability of editors need to be improved. Moreover, theshortage of publication administrators is also a significant problem.In view of the above problems, suggestions are put forward in order to improve thepublishing management in Heilongjiang Province and guarantee a rapid and healthydevelopment in book publishing industry. The first one is to be aware of the importanceof publishing management. The second is to pay attention to cultivation and building upa publication team with high quality. The third idea is to increase governmentinvestment in this industry so that it can form a sound development. The fourth one is toimprove the laws and CIP control. The sixth is to make full use of the public and mediapower, which can attract more supervision on publication quality.Followed is to enhancethe supervision in order to ensure the quality of various of publications. Last but not theleast one is to streamline administration and institute decentralization, and only in thisway, can it stimulate the publishers’ energy and confidence.
