The Gas Station Safety Monitoring System

With the rapid development of our national economy, the quantity of automobile has increased a lot, which causes the air pollution problem in the city, so it’s the time for us to use a clean, cheap natural gas to replace polluting oil as motor fuel to protect the environment. In this context, how to ensure the gas station working safely become an urgent problem.Based on the analysis of recently increasingly sophisticated wireless sensor network technology, embedded technology, network technology and management techniques, a new monitoring system which can monitor more comprehensively, show the result more intuitively and analyse the data more accurately is designed to ensure the gas station’s safety in production.Gas station safety monitoring system is divided into three subsystems:field data acquisition system, embedded data server system and the remote monitoring system. Field data monitoring system is built by using CC2530nodes to make up a ZigBee network, which can acquisition and aggregate data. Embedded data server is a ModBus data server, which uses the Linux system as a platform, collects the data from the ZigBee nodes through the serial port and store it in the SQLite database file, then the server can communicate with the WebAccess through the TCP/IP protocol, and reply the request from the remote monitoring system. Remote monitoring system is developed relying on the WebAccess to achieve monitoring configuration, data arrangement, alarm setting and visual monitoring functions. The following aspects are discussed and researched in the paper:1. Analysis the gas station work environment, design the monitoring program. 2. Design the field data acquisition system and choose the sensor types based on the monitoring system needs; complete the ZigBee network to achieve the data collect function.3. Embedded data server development:build the development platform, develop the serial data collection, database management and ModBusTCP server functions.4. Use Webaccess to achieve gas stations monitoring configuration, and achieve the data management, alarm and show the monitoring results functions.
