Nowadays, the gas which is used for city residents has gradually become an integral part of everyday life, it provides the residents with convenient, at the same time, the flammable and explosive property of gas left a huge security risks. In order to ensure that every family safety of gas using, it has become the industry regulator’s duty to construct a set of monitoring and management system that can automatically collect the whole residential gas usage, these data can also be sorted out, transported, storage and real-time display by monitor.This thesis is based on a practical project which is founded by BUPT-AVIC United Laboratory. On the basis of vast research of configuration software and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA), I have designed and implemented a gas meter remote monitoring and management system which is based on WebAccess, and made an explanation in detail of all the function design and realization in each sub configuration module.According to the needs of the project, this thesis mainly completed the following two respects of the work:1) Introduced the gas meter remote monitoring and management system design by SCADA; specifically the system organization structure and put forward the design thought of configuration; expounded the configuration requirements to realize the whole system;2) Introduced the related content of WebAccess, and use WebAccess configuration software to complete each sub system module to finally build the system.
