Ubiquitous network is the new trend of network development. The network and communication technologies will be challenged by the coexistence and convergence of heterogeneous access networks, various emerging mobile services and mobile applications and more and more mobile terminals connecting to Internet. Currently, under the ubiquitous network, the network control technology for terminal collaboration faces the challenges in the network access, data transmission, collaboration control and services.The research in this paper is just based on the above backgrounds. By optimizing mobility management and multi-path transmission technology, and utilizing the ability of vicinity terminals to provide users with ubiquitous services, a multi-path transmission platform with mobility and terminal cooperation support is designed in this paper. This platform can provide multi-path transmission based on cooperation among multiple terminals to improve the overall transmission rate. It also provides handover at the granularity of data flow.This paper introduces the technical background and significance in firstly. Then the three key technologies involved are introduced: multi-path transmission, mobility management and terminal cooperation. The functional requirements and the non-functional requirements of this system are analyzed and the technology selection is completed via analyzing the related technologies. After that, the preliminary design and detailed design of the system is presented. The preliminary design basically gives the interaction between each functional module. The detailed design is about how functional modules work in the system. Then, this paper discusses the testing of the platform, including the network environments used for testing, the software and hardware configuration and the testing process. The testing results are presented and discussed to verify the system functions and performance. Lastly, the conclusion remarks are given with future prospecting.
