In heterogeneous network environments, there are a wide variety of wireless technologies andmany kinds of terminals. At the same time, the demands of broadband and real-time service aregrowing rapidly and unfortunately a single terminal cannot meet the demands. In this circumstance,it is of great importance to make multiple terminals work together to offer high quality of service.Based on the above situations, Virtual Terminals System by available terminals around to providemulti-stream and real-time video transmission service for users is discussed on this thesis.Based on analysis of application requirements, a multi-stream concurrent transmission systembased on multi-terminal coordination is designed and implemented. Five parts are included in it:platform of video capture, video distributed transmission server, diversion policy server, contextserver and multi-terminal coordination. Detailed design of five parts are as follows: real-time videois captured by camera and encoded by H.264so as to transmit in Internet; video distributedtransmission server using parallel TCP distributes video stream according to diversion policy;diversion policy server creates diversion policy according to context information; context serverstores context information dynamically; Virtual Terminal System consists of one main terminal atleast and one or more slave terminals. Slave terminals download and transmit the packet to mainterminal, main terminal sorts the packet. Five parts collaborate with each other. Finally, themulti-steam concurrent transmission system is fully tested and a large amount of test results showthat the system performs well and is very stable, which meets the requirements of the design.
