Due to the advancements of technology, changes in the network, changes in thedistribution of user groups, changes in surface features (new buildings, roads, vegetation,etc.), changes in the electromagnetic environment of the indoor distributed system,unexpected situations and other factors require operators to optimize the networks.Therefore, wireless network needs to be optimized constantly to ensure the efficiency ofthe network operation.The traditional CDMA wireless network optimization mainly finds and solvesproblems from everyday road test, system indicator data, customer complaints, alarmsand other issues, which is a relatively passive way; requires experienced optimizingpersonnel and the labor costs and time costs are large. Meanwhile, this solution cannotco-ordinate the whole network optimization geographic and wireless environments, andthe improvement of the network KPI indicators is minor.RF optimization methods used in this thesis is based on field surveys, DT dragnettests and statistical research of the background KPI data, which collected considerableamount of data to optimize the RF simulation needs. Firstly, propagation model iscalibrated in the region and the corrected loss propagation path of each cell is calculatedbased on the model. Then a network quality network simulation is made to found theexistence of weak coverage, the crossed area coverage, pilot pollution and EC/IO poorregion. With the road test analysis, we can confirm the main point of problems and verifythe degree of simulation matching point. We import RF optimization software and setthe azimuth, inclination and other parameters according to the characteristics undereach site. Then we observe the degree of simulation and road test match, and get theoperational antenna adjustment programs when the match can meet the requirements.After the implementation, the neighborhood is adjusted to achieve the best optimization.By comparing the KPI indicators, we can see that the CDMA network optimizationtargets within the region are relatively significant improved. This thesis provides a goodbasis and experience for the future network optimization.
