The management work is very important but easily ignored in scientific institute.Researchers usually only pay attention to scientific progress rather than the effectivemanagement of the literature, which causes problems such as the experimental dataredundancy, the inconvenience of retrieving document, the difficulty of informationsharing and so on. In recent years, the rapid development ofInternet Technology hasprovided a strong technical supportto the automation and intelligentization ofmanagement. However, Lu Group still follows the traditional manual way ofinformation management. With the constant growing of Lu Group’s team scale andresearch achievements, the traditional management model has been far fromsatisfying the high efficiency, fast-paced work requirements. Thus, to the weakness ofLu Group’s information management work, this paper using the design concept ofsoftware engineering, taking the practical situation of research managementintoaccount, designed and implemented a fully functional integrated informationmanagement system,making the daily management more standard, scientific andsystematic,greatly optimizingthe workflow of scientific research management andimproving the management efficiency.Based on the analysis of research status and future development trends ofinformation management systemsboth at home and abroad, combined with the actualsituation in LuGroup management, I carried out requirements analysis, architecturedesign, database design, interface design, functional implementation, sitedeploymentandinstallation, and finally passed the functional and safety testing. Themain system consists of severalsubsystems, including colorful function modules,covering all aspects of Lu Group information management, laying the foundation forachieving unified management. The design process of this system applied UML, B/S three-tier architecture,MVC design pattern and many other techniques.The front-end adopted HTML+CSS+JavaScript to develop; the backend used C#, SQL programming language.The maindevelopment and design software is: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, SQLServer, IIS and so on.Lu Group’s integrated information management system is a cloud services platformbased on Web technology. This platform achievedthe integration and sharing of LuGroup’s knowledge, with so many advantages such as free installation, cross-platform,anytime-anywhere access, rapid retrieval, search convenient, high reliability thatcommon information management systemunmatched, solving the problems such asthe communication of information is not timely, resources cannot be shared, hasbrought great convenience to the researchers of Lu Group.
