With the development in LCD field, LCD has become most popular technologyand R&D hot point, and quickly occupied the market share of flat panel display.However, there are some main shortcoming in LCD manufacturing, such as complexprocess technology, the alignment precision of Cell process directly affects the qualityof the product.Firstly, based on the detailed understanding of the process LCD glass alignmentlaminating, through the study of the existing glass laminating equipment and analysisof future LCD industry development trend, a design idea of Auto-laminating Machineis put forward in this paper. Secondly, according to the specific needs of the actualproduction, a Auto-laminating Machine based on PLC and FV-aligner visual system isdesigned and implemented in this paper, which can enhance the production efficiencyand promote the alignment precision. After make the tasks of motion control systemand machine vision system clear, the main function modules are proposed. Then thehardware circuits are designed and the operation environment of the vision system isbuilt, which realizes the control of servo motor, the communication between the PLCand FV-aligner visual system, analog signal output, etc. Finally, the the motioncontrol program is programmed, and the vision system is optimized, which realizedthe automatic laminating of glass and improve the alignment accuracy.Through research in this paper, the laminating machine for350mm×350mmLCD glass is developed. The machine has stably worked almost half year, and itslaminating effect is good. The machine ultimately reached the preliminary designrequirements.
