With the rapid development of space exploration technology and telemetry acquisitiontechnology, data acquisition with high-precision, data transmission with high-speed, and datastorage with high reliability have become a hot issue in the area of space exploration andtelemetry acquisition, so the importance of the design of an appropriate signal generator isself-evident. In this thesis, a multi-function image generator for a certain type of Imagestorage and transfer device was designed for functional verification and reliability analysis.This thesis focuses on image acquisition and transmission, high-speed data transmissionof LVDS, data recovery and then conducted in-depth research, as compared with the schemeof traditional image generator and data transmission, and combined with the developmentstatus of SOPC with the carrier of FPGA, a overall scheme with NiosⅡ embedded processorsas the main controller is proposed, at the same time the scheme of real-time acquisition ofnatural images and high-speed data transmission interface with FT2232HL are put forward.The NiosⅡembedded processors based on SOPC complete image acquisition, data formatconversion, data cache of image, high-speed data transmission of LVDS, and then a newmethod of data error rate detection during high-speed data transmission of LVDS is presented.It accomplishes the communication between t image generator and computer with theinterface of FT2232HL, and realizes the function of analog signal generator.Finally, the overall system performance test is carried out, as well as function testing andverification of each module with computer and Image storage and transfer device. The testresult prove that this design can meet the mission requirements of ground test equipment, andable to accomplish the test for the performance and the reliability of the Image storage andtransfer device, and has a broad application prospects.
