The safety monitoring work of grassroots army troops, including not only theprevention of natural disasters, but enemy agents sneak, vandalism, etc., traditionalbarracks arrange sentry patrol to survey the situation in the various positions timelywith wired video surveillance system. There are many problems on these traditionalmonitoring methods, such as poor instantaneity, low reliability,high salary cost, highcost of installation and commissioning, easily damaged and so on. Now, barracksneed a grassroots monitoring and warning system which is accurate, reliable, easy forsoldiers to operate.A security monitoring and early warning system is designed basing on ZigBeetechnology in this article. Considering the application environment and scenarios,monitoring parameters, data transmission distance and speed, the system flexibilityand extendibility and other factors, select the wireless sensor network based onZigBee technology, Temperature, humidity, personnel intrusion, smoke density andother information of important place like local secret room, firearms room andequipment room are monitored for real-time. use a portable PC as the host to displaymonitoring data monitoring and early warning information. First, a research andanalysis of ZigBee technology is carry out, including protocol structure and networktopology. Then completed the hardware design of coordinating node, router node,end node with CC2531as the main chip, including chip peripheral circuits, RF front-end, power modules, JTAG debug interface, USB communication interface, sensorcircuit. In order to adapt to different installation environment, router nodes and endnodes can be battery-powered. In software design, completed the coordinator ofnetwork construction,network node initialization, information collection, dataconversion and transmission work with IAR EW8051development environment. PCinterface software was wrote by C#language,basing on the VS2010developmentenvironment to achieve displays monitoring information for every place, anomalies warning and historical data query. Finally, it did a test of the system of networkingand functional.This wireless security monitoring and early warning systems, implement real-time data quantifition and acquisition of the grassroots barracks security statusinformation, realized visualization display and automatic warning through the PCwith good reliability, accuracy and flexibility and very high practical value.
