With the booming development of modern high-speed railway, the train speeds up and the railroad extends. These call for high quality on early warning of the capability parameter of the train, such as the early warning distance, the costs of system energy consumption, expansibility, anti jamming ability, etc. In such situations, the mainstream of the trains arriving at early warning system will more or less show some problems or limitations. Firstly, the rapid promotion of the speed cause the growth of the early warning distance. So the on-vehicle early warning systems of the traditional vehicle can only increase the vehicle power of the launcher to achieve high speed, but at the mean time, the costs increase. Even so, the continuing high extensibility and anti jamming ability are still unable to meet. In addition, the widely used monitoring systems in Railway crossing can not cover the whole scope of railway line lacking in necessary flexibility. For the people maintaining the railway, they are a serious threat.With the emergence of the ZigBee technique, low consumption, low cost and high expansibility have become the hotpots of the modern wireless communication technology. Under such a background, the paper introduces the vibration sensor and designs a feasible arriving early warning systems based on the ZigBee technique to test the coming of the train in the distance and to cover the rail road with the early warning system so as to protect personal property security of the people along the rail road. The paper includes the following contents:a)The paper first investigates the mainstream methods of arriving early warning system, and then analyzes the current situation and problem of the arriving early warning system of the train.b) Then based on comprehensive and in-depth research of relative theory and advanced technology of ZigBee, the paper compare the ZigBee with other wireless communication technologies to show its unique advantages in the application of this system. At the same time the paper analyzes the framework of the ZigBee protocol stack, and studies the channel configuration, the network topology, addressing mode, the algorithms and communication process in ZigBee communication network in-depth, Makes a further study of the TI protocol stack which would be used in the system. Finally the key performance index of ZigBee network is summed up.c) Through the study of the specific needs on train arriving early warning system, this paper draw out the its structure and needs and then propose the settlement structure based on ZigBee technique and made a overall design, including the system review, elaboration of the working principles, parameter selection and the study of feasibility and reliability of the system.d) Next, this paper introduces the design of hardware and software of the system. In the part of hardware, this paper introduces and the design of the master module in accordance with the function of the module, in the part of the software, this paper proposes system architecture for software modules to refine the system and some specific ways to detect, judge, transport the data in ZigBee network.e) Further more, by testing and debugging the system designed in this paper, the system is proved effective and feasible, and it works well. It also meets the request of the Non-vehicle arriving early warning system in new model trains which can give warnings along the railroad. So the system meets the research purpose of this paper.f) In the last, the paper summarizes the advantages of the ZigBee technique in design and realization of the train arriving early warning system. It also discusses the innovation and feasibility of the application of the ZigBee technique. At the mean time, the paper points out the places which need improvement.Adopting ZigBee techniques,the train arriving early warning systems have the characteristics of small size terminal, low power consumption, low cost and convenient net work deployment. All these achieve operation vitrification, precise warning and strong signal anti-jamming. They also solve some realistic problems such as a wide range of network coverage, high system expandability and non-on-vehicle problems, so as to greatly promote the performance and technology indicators of the existing train arriving early warning system.
