From the view of software developing, this paper discusses design and implementation of Shanghai General Motor (SGM) used vehicle trade management system. To meet the rapid development of SGM used vehicle business, the system’s main developing purpose is to build a corresponding used vehicle online trade information management system, and conduct business expanding strategy and high efficient business management through advanced efficient information technology.First, the paper generally introduces related product marketing life cycle theory, which is the concept foundation of system developing. Combining theory with real business demand, it gives function analysis for SGM’s used vehicle trade management system, especially the basic information management function, vehicle inspection and assessment management function, price race management function and business statistics analysis function. Besides detailed discussion of the functions, it also establishes user cases. The paper discusses the system’s software frame, database scenario and main modules’ internal flow and data processing design scenario, and briefly describes the system’s software implementation.This system uses advanced information technology to provide high efficient used vehicle merchandises and trading platform for plenty of potential customers. We anticipate that through consistent marketing effort, it will efficiently improve the company’s persistent competition ability and diversified market advantages. The system’s testing and test run shows that it already reaches the anticipated developing goal.
