Recently, with the development of science and technology and transition from the lack of information to information overload, government and business organizations has no longer necessarily chosen media to release information, the audience has become information disseminator gradually, the way, speed and media of information transmission have changed dramatically. H Media of traditional newspaper being main business shocked by the technology and social environment. The circulation and quantity of advertisement have declined sharply. Newspaper industry has got into trouble. In order to reply to the environmental change and survive in the adversity, H Media Group has to make strategic transition.Based on the newspaper business in H Media Group, the author made a reposition about it through the analysis to newspaper issue, advertisement market combined with the relevant strategy theory and strategic tools like PEST and SWOT, and then learnt a new strategic direction that it should start from the desire of clients, explore present brand value of media, actively prompt traditional media business to all-media development by new technology, put forward a new strategic way of developing all-media, being great multi-information service provider. The author supplied some support and suggestions for the project like innovation of strategic operation, contents of information, communication channels, profit patterns and management organization.H Media Group is typical one of newspaper industry businesses in the country, the research, formulation and application of the development strategy in H Media Group newspaper business are representative, which also provided available suggestions to some newspaper groups trapped in the same situation.
