The development trends of next generation communication network are technology integration, service integration and network integration. In order to adapt to the future development trends ofcommunication network, Open Service Access technology which shields details of underlyingnetwork gets more attention. Because users’ demand for personalized service is going strong, service mobility management between different service operators’ networks or terminals becomes acritical issue.Service mobility of Parlay/OSA which is a currently popular technology in Open ServiceAccess technology system is analyzed, and ability of Open Service Access technology to supportservice mobility demand of next generation network is verified.Firstly, backgrounds of current communication network are introduced, and currentcharacteristics of mobility management technology are summarized. Base on current situation andlimitations of mobility management technique, the author points out the development trend ofservice mobility management technology.Secondly, Open Service Access technologies, Parlay and Virtual Home Environment arepresented. SIP protocol is located between Hardware Resources and Open Service Access API, sothe research of service mobility management based on SIP protocol plays an important role. Byutilizing the scalability of SIP protocol, a scheme of service mobility management based on SIPprotocol is proposed.Thirdly, because service mobility of Parlay/OSA must meet the demand of next generationnetwork, mapping mechanism between Parlay X API and SIP protocol in Parlay X gateway isresearched, and a service mobility management scheme based on OSA is designed. By constructingservice and implementation model, service mobility of Parlay/OSA is demonstrated. Finally, a coordination office business system based on Parlay X API is designed andimplemented, and ability of the system to support service mobility is verified by designing aterminal handover scheme.
