After nearly two decades of development, China’s telecommunications industry has madeconsiderable progress, but with the requirements of the voice services tending to be saturated, therevenues of the voice services have shown steady growth. Meanwhile, with the continuousadvances in information and communication technologies, as well as the popularity of intelligentterminals, and the requirements of the data services rapidly increasing, data services have becomethe future direction of the telecommunications industry. With the acceleration of the integration ofmobile communications and the Internet, mobile internet services, as an important component ofmobile data services, will become the most important in data service business development of thetelecom operators.Mobile Internet is a product of the integration of the mobile network and Internet, and its rapiddevelopment trend in recent years is an information revolution. For telecom operators, the progressof the mobile Internet is not only an opportunity for progress, but also more like a challenge. Thispaper first did some comprehensive studies on the definition and characteristics of the mobileInternet, and a detailed analysis on the research situation at home and abroad. On this basis,combining the traditional telecom services and the telecom operator role in the mobile Internetindustry, analyze the telecom operator’s own advantages and deficiencies in the development of themobile Internet business. To solve these problems, this paper points out the business modelinnovation is the key solution for the value-added services in the mobile Internet.Based on the above theoretical analysis and the Java language, this paper deigned avalue-added applications for mobile terminals-"Netcom Group V", mainly including the onlinegroups, the transmission of multimedia streams, the contact management, and the task/meetingmanagement modules, etc. This application achieves the transition of telecom operators fromtraditional tele-service to mobile internet service and has a positive promotion to the developmentof transformed service and flow operation for telecom operators.
