Design And Implementation For The Cargo Logistics Management System Of Air Cargo Terminal

With the accelerating pace of global integration and the vigorous development of logistics and freight forwarding industry, the modern air transportation with use of logistics and information management technologies to reduce the logistics costs while improving the overall logistics operation rate, so that playing an increasingly important role in international trade and global resources. In recent years, many countries of the world attach great importance to the development of air cargo logistics industry. They are accelerating the pace of international air cargo logistics and also efforts to enhance the level of modern air cargo logistics. In order to enhance the modernization level of air cargo logistics, the most pressing needing is to upgrade or replacement their existing air cargo logistics management system. It relates to how to use the existing air cargo business logic with combine the latest computer system and information technology to design and develop a new highly integrated, scalable, high stability and security logistics management system.The project which is covered by these papers is a new generation air cargo handling systems that is developed for support the air cargo terminal to enhance its competitiveness. The ultimate goal of this project, besides replace the existing logistics management system that has been used for many years, and also hope that use the new system as the development of the company's future expansion overseas cargo common management tools, even become as the industry-wide air cargo terminal management software products. This system covers the cargo delivery, cargo storage, cargo handling, cargo charging, cargo information processing etc. It also is a main platform for information exchange between cargo terminal and external computer systems. Moreover, this system will treat as a core platform for the various subsystems within the air cargo terminal to interact and manage. The mainly user of this system includes Terminals internal staff, airline partner, freight agent, and relevant government departments. This new system base on'Struts + Hibernate'framework with using Java technology to develop, and the front part of the interface system is using Adobe Flex technology, the backend database is using Oracle Database. So that to ensure that the new system would have a higher scalability, security, stability and more processing power. This paper will be based on the actual development process of the system and combined with my participation in various stages of the project to elaborate the specific design and implementation of the system.
