TMN being more and more complex and network functions unceasingly increasing, the management application based on traditional TMN standards comes to show some limitations. These deficiencies encountered in TMN technology, however, can be solved by the application of CORBA technology, a mature distributed object-oriented technology at present. It is predicted that CORBA, in the near future, will be widely used in the fast construction of operations and the effective management of sources in the open telecommunication market environment.The characteristics of CORBA technology, JAVA language and TMN are analyzed, the good application of CORBA technology combined with JAVA in TMN is introduced by an example of the implementation of China Uniform NMC-OMC interface, which is also called north interface; Another development strategy in TMN such as integrated CROBA technology and optimum service of JAVA and WEB is proposed constructively.According to hiberarchy model of TMN, EML needs to provide management interface for NML. In terms of network management interface criterions between NMC and OMC in CDMA95/1X network management established by China Uniform on the basis of CORBA technology, ZTE makes the interface, which can provide manufacturer's element management information for superior management network., come true. Management functions of China Uniform north interface consist of common management function, safety management function, configuration management function, performance management function and exception management function, where configuration management function concludes basic configuration management function, report of configuration information variation and synchronization function. The basic configuration function mainly deals with conversions of construction, deletion, query and modification in configuration information; When configuration information of network element changes, variation notify of configuration information which is reported from NMC to OMC is fulfilled through conversion of configuration information notify and report function; Configuration information synchronization function synchronizes mass data from OMC to NMC.In this thesis, China Uniform north interface configuration module is studied and realized based on CORBA technology, secondary development is ensured by extended technology. CFPadapter structure make it unnecessary for application module to care about the under-stratum of COBRA technology. Dual-use technology insulates the coupling between interface function and OMC, which makes the interface section applicable to OMC system of different versions, test frame technology combined with cell check and accept is used to guarantee the normal and steady operation of different versions.China Uniform north interface based on CORBA technology implemented by ZTE smoothes connects of other professional subnets and is helpful to the final realization of the real and true system of synthetic network management. Results and conclusions in this paper have been applied to ZXCOMC2.51X network management system of ZTE and it works well.
