In recent years, with the fast and unbelievable development of mobile communication technology, the demand of wider area coverage also rises rapidly. However, the power supply for base stations in remote areas has always been a problem. With current technology level, it is extremely difficult to link the base stations directly to power grid. Commonly used methods are crude oil engine, wind and solar energy system or wind and solar energy system together with crude oil engine. However, all these power modes cannot resolve problems such as environment pollution, non-renewable energy resource or low reliability. In order to somehow eliminate these problems, this paper innovatively proposed a new power supply mode to combine wind and solar energy together with hydrogen energy, and use Sansha Islands as a typical environmental condition. This paper also borrows the idea of energy internet to propose a way to achieve energy re-allocation within nearby base stations.Firstly, this paper designs three main modules:wind module, solar module and hydrogen module on the basis of a previous introduction to basic energy resource conditions within Sansha Islands. For each module, this paper discusses the basic principles and some key parameters that researchers concern the most. Equipment type choice for each module is also conducted based on these parameters.Secondly, this paper incorporates all these modules to bring an integrated system, introduces the detailed work flow and control methods. Also, with the newly proposed ideas of distributed power and energy internet, this paper suggests a way to re-allocate energy reservations within each base station based on contract net protocol and analyses the feasibility with quantitative calculations.Next, this paper calculates to determine the configuration parameters for each module in order to better realize the system function, such as rated power for both wind and solar module, capacity for storage battery, etc.In the end, this paper analyses the economic efficiency of the whole system. By contrasting the newly-designed power system with other two systems that are more commonly used, crude oil engine and wind and solar energy system, this paper concludes that the system equipped with hydrogen module will prevail in ten years after putting into usage. Also, conclusions and suggestions to better promote the new systems are given after calculations.
