Since entering the21st century, the government supports and encourages the application of virtual reality in secondary vocational education. With the development of virtual reality technology, China has entered the best period for the development of Vocational Education. At present, there are several problems of "high cost, high input, high risk and hard to implement, hard to watch, hard to reproduce" in the practical teaching of Secondary Construction Vocational School, which can be resolved by virtual reality practical teaching. This paper studies the virtual reality practical teaching in three courses of the Elevator Installation Technology, Building Foundation and Foundation Engineering Construction, and the Construction Technology and Machinery in Fuzhou Construction Engineering Secondary Vocational School, combining the theory of Learning by Doing, the Cone of Experience, Situational Learning, and the Constructivism, on the basis of tracking and involving in the whole process of the designing, teaching, research and redesign of virtual reality practical teaching, forms four different species of virtual reality teaching modes for showing, interacting, experiencing and assessing. Moreover, it analyzes the active and negative effects of virtual reality system in practical teaching, and makes some measures, and summaries the other problems existing in the currently Virtual Reality Teaching, including high demand on teaching environment teacher losing the role of leading, and student deviating from the goal of learning, and so on. From several points of government, enterprise, school, teachers and students, it makes some corresponding of improved recommends, hoping to offer other researchers and front-line educators some useful reference.
