with the development of science and technology, the application of microcontroller has been an essential part of the second phase of the curriculum reform, whose purpose is to boost students'ability to use utilize certain techniques. However, many problems still exit which can not be solved at present, such as the inefficiency of the school facilities, lack of learning time and moreover the difficulty of the technology itself. Therefore, it is really a practical issue facing the general technical education to pave the way for the enhancement of the teaching and application of the microcontroller.This paper is conducted on the basis of the concepts of the curriculum reform, and based on the theories of Constructivism, Ausubel's meaningful reception learning theory, and Integrating Information Technology into Curriculum. In addition, it is also aided with advanced methods of information technology to construct the teaching strategies from the aspects of the preparation of teaching, the real practice of teaching and the evaluation of teaching under the mode of "teacher-led; student-oriented". The strategy of teaching preparation is formed through such four aspects as targets, content, activities and resources and with the help of simulated software "Multisim", examples of learning, cooperative learning and progressive evaluation, the strategies of teaching implementation are fulfilled. Meanwhile, the strategies of teaching evaluation can be conducted with reference to the progress of learning, the results of learning, the attitudes and emotion involved in learning, and with the assistance of electronic file and evaluation form.The effectiveness of the teaching strategies in the teaching mode of "teacher-led; student-oriented" is proved by the method of experiments and questionnaires. After the analysis of the SPSS software, the results indicate that the there is a distinct improvement in boosting students'ability to design microcontroller, and it helps to enhance students'capability of applying microcontroller. Moreover, it also shows that it helps to foster students'advanced thinking proficiency, to perfect students'learning styles and to strengthen students'ability in cooperative study. In the meantime, the survey shows that the new strategies are helpful to arouse students'interest in leaning how to use microcontroller. However, compared with the traditional ones, no remarkable effects have been detected on consolidating students' basic knowledge and improving students'ability to operate by hand.At the end of the paper, in order to optimize the teaching strategies in the teaching mode of "teacher-led; student-oriented", some constructive suggestion has been put forward and some problems remaining to be further discussed are raised in the paper as well.
