There are many problems about requirements management during geologicaldata information construction project implementation, such as requirements scopeexaggerated, requirements review defected, requirement change control failed. Theseproblems reflects that requirements management in geological data informationconstruction project is still in the weak stage. It gradually attracted the attention ofdepartments and manager of geological data. There is an urgent need to exploremethods of requirements management that suitable for geological data informationconstruction project.Requirements management include requirements elicitation, requirement analysis,requirements validation, requirement change management. Requirements elicitationwill capture and revise user requirements, by background reading, high-level visit,user interview, participate in the business exchange, thematic discussion et al.Requirement analysis will refine and analyse user requirements, write requirementsspecifications. After requirements specifications formed, User representatives,developers should verify the requirement specification, then establish the baseline ofsystem development. Requirements specification through the review, it need to strictlycontrol the requirement change, and make the version control.Rrequirements development in geological data management information systemdetermine the requirement acquisition plan in first. Users of the system is divided intoreceiving service user class, custody business user class, business users and a series ofthe external interface. Then determine user representatives, the core team. Analysebusiness process and receiving process, storage process, using process and subprocess through the background reading, the old system analysis, on-site inspection,user. According to the process determine the use case, clear the system non functionalrequirements. Hold seminar, thus formulate the requirements document papers——"Requirements specification of collaborative business processing system forNational Geological Archives ". Through the feasibility analysis, To determine the requirements priority ofgeological data management information system. Analyse user requirements by usingobject-oriented analysis method. Describe the system’s functional requirementsthrough the flow diagram, use case diagram. And write system data dictionary. Write arequirements specification, to make clear network architecture network architecture,system architecture, the structure of software function module, the relationships ofsubsystem, system business process, general constrain, functional requirement,requirement of network environment, external interface requirements, datarequirements, design constraint, quality attributes, related forms.The project do requirements validation by using both of formal review andinformal review, in three levels of management layer, middle layer, operator. Thesenior management staff do objective requirement review around the system achieve.The middle managers do functional requirement review around the system needs tocomplete.
