As rapid development of the Internet, by June2014, China’s Internet users reached632million, nearly half of the Chinese people are using the Internet. Internet technology hasbeen widely applied in various fields, the Internet is becoming an important essential partof people’s lives, changing the way people live. People’s demand for Internet servicespromote the innovation of Internet access technologies, while promoting the networkupgrade and transformation of the Internet.Specific to the national level, the Chinese government put forward the "broadbandChina" national strategy, agreed on bandwidth, size and time of Internet access of theInternet Development in China and put forward specific requirements. In the telecomoperators level, each basic telecom companies within the communications industry areactively expand and transform the network in optical access mode, and strive to achievenetwork optimization and technology leadership, so as to gain an advantage in the fiercecompetition market. For Internet users, they require telecom companies to provide betterquality, higher bandwidth, faster network speed, more stable and secure Internet network.In this situation, the passive optical network technology came into being, and in Chinahas been widely applied and promotion: fiber gradually extend to the user terminal, toachieve FTTH and fiber to the desktop; copper gradually retreat to the client until the finalretreat from the network. This trend prompted various telecom companies make"Replacement of Copper Cables with Optical Fiber Cables" as the network transformationstrategy.In this thesis, we focus on the transformation strategy and implemented of Dalian CTTunder the "Replacement of Copper Cables with Optical Fiber Cables" strategy, combinestheory of passive optical network communication technology, using the method ofcomparative analysis, to determine the choice of Dalian CTT transformation process oftechnical standards and networking programs abput "Replacement of Copper Cables withOptical Fiber Cables"; expounded the application of passive optical network technology network influence at all levels. Focusing on core routers updates, solutions about networkonline video and voice business in the network core layer; deployment of transmissionbearing network and convergence device and flattening transformation in the networkconvergence layer; in the network access layer studied network bearer, cable coverage,issues related to the number of stages and the spectral splitting ratio and so on through twospecific cases.This paper according to the principle of combining theory and practice, based on aspecific implementation, truly describe the transformation of an on ongoing commercial"Replacement of Copper Cables with Optical Fiber Cables" process, which has a certainamount of Internet networks, and the implementation strategy were analyzed andsummarized, hoping to provide some reference for other being or to be implemented"Replacement of Copper Cables with Optical Fiber Cables" reconstruction project.
