In accordance with the analyzing the technology of access networkand the technology of optical fiber communication and the state of indooroptical fiber cables at home and abroad, this paper realizes that the FTTHis the developing direction of the communication and the indoor opticalfiber cables are the developing direction of the optical cable trade in thefuture.This paper introduces some technologies of many access networks,especially for FTTH, and analyzes the newest development of FTTH inJapan, South Korea, USA and China. It recognizes that these kind oftechnology of access network will being in a long time, but FTTH isdeveloping direction. As well as with increasing of the people needing thebroadband access, and with reducing price of the optical component, itmakes that the developing velocity of FTTH is very fast. Just for thesefactors, the indoor optical fiber cables are being studied in manycountries. On the one hand, many new structures are designed for thedifferent usage in house, on the other hand the major point of study isreducing the size of indoor optical fiber cables, reducing the productioncost and increase the number of optical fiber, so there are many opticalfiber ribbons are used in the new structure. This paper also describes indetail the structure of indoor optical fiber cables in our country, the mainraw materials, the produce line and the national standard and trade'sstandard involving of indoor optical fiber cables. On the one hand we canfind that the structure of indoor optical fiber cables at home are fewerthan abroad, many main raw materials depend on import, the standards areunfit for the developing of technology, on the other hand, at home theindoor optical fiber cables are being studied by more and more people inthe area of structure, materials and produce line.This paper finishes the design of the single-fiber indoor optical cable,dual-fiber indoor optical cable, and six-fiber indoor optical cable,finishes the model design and the technology design.
