Modern mass media spread message with a wide range and fast speed. People unable to obtain the information through direct contact with the whole unknown world.Therefore, most of them choose to use the media to get information. But the mass media world is not the real world, they tend to cater for the benefit of the ruling class.So,if the transmission of the media information included a "specific" propensities, it will likely to mislead the public awareness.In this context, this dissertation do some research on Li’s four Grand Slam tennis tournament news reports between People’s Daily and New York Times. By content analysis and the method of text analysis,the author intends to explore the bias of reports from China and US authoritative media, concerning Chinese International Sports newsmakers. Then find out their way to express the bias and possible consequences.By quantitative content analysis(Quantity.Genre.Length etc.) and text analysis(Angle. Language.Background etc.)of some related reports from both newspapers, the author found the different attention and bias of Li between the two newspapers. At the same time,the expression and skills they use are different. Finally,with the conclusions of the study, the author presented the potential consequences of biased news, calling the media responsibility.By Microscopic dismantling and analysis.Comparative study of these factors, the author of this article hopes to make some useful supplement on the study of media’s bias reports. Further more, to provide some experiences on news reports of our country.
