Research And Design Of An Online Moodle Based Military Teaching System

With the rapid development of computer network technology, network teaching has become an important form of military modern distance education. Various open source network teaching system came into being, Which Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is the most powerful, the most widely used open source educational software in this time. This paper aimed at the present situation of military modernization network teaching, studied and analyzed the network teaching system design philosophy, system architecture and operation mode of the Moodle system. And on this basis to achieve the secondary development of the Moodle system and the extension application, puts forward the performance improvement methods of the Moodle system. In this paper, the main attributions is embodied in the following aspects:(1) Analysed the research background and significance of the network teaching system research, at the same time analyzed the research status of the Moodle system in domestic and foreign, and discussed of the status quo of the develop network teaching in the military,provided an important theoretical basis for using Moodle in the military teaching.(2) Studied the related technologies of the Moodle system and put forward the concrete implementation of the secondary development by considering the rules of secondary development, the Moodle development philosophy and the system architecture. Built a solid theoretical foundation for secondary development of the Moodle system.(3) Combined with Moodle functions and the actual requirements of the military’s teaching system, implemented the Moodle plug-in of the Wiziq software, realized the function of required demand. System interface and optimized performance methods was developed at the same time.(4) Analyzed the problems occured in the development and gived the corresponing solutions. Provided some methods to improve the performance of the Moodle system. In this paper, the Moodle platform development and the construction of military’s teaching system have been carried on the research and practice. We want to help other developers in Moodle development through our work in this thesis.
