The master thesis studied the development and utilization of mineral resources, mineralresources and energy related problems, energy and regional economic development base onthe data of the development of mineral resources and energy utilization data and economicevaluation in thirty-one provinces, autonomous regions,. The experiment proves that thedata mining method is effective in energy development and utilization of mineral resourcesand data processing.First, the choice of "coal mining and dressing industry investment","oil and gasindustry investment","oil and coking industry investment" and "electricity, heat, gas andwater production and supply industry investment" four properties that can reflect theconstruction of mineral resources and energy development status of "energy investment infixed assets" the data table, based on the clustering algorithm in data mining technology areanalyzed. The study found that from the composition of mineral resources and energydevelopment, coal resources occupy the leading position in the production of primary energy, hydropower and natural gas production accounts for energy development in the structure ofthe rising proportion, it shows that the energy production structure of our country isdeveloping to the direction of clean energy. From the geographical structure of mineralresources and energy development, the development of the central and western regions thanthe eastern region. Secondly, the choice of six years of power consumption attributeconstructs can reflect mineral resources and energy utilization of "regional electricityconsumption" data table, the data were analyzed by using clustering algorithm in datamining. The study found that China’s total primary energy consumption of the overallupward trend, the energy consumption structure in the continuous adjustment, the coalconsumption of oil to a record low in2013, over the past ten years, natural gas in primaryenergy consumption structure the proportion doubled, the energy consumption is to developclean energy direction. From the mineral resources and energy utilization of the regionalstructure, the amount is greater than the western region of eastern coastal areas. Finally, wechoose "the gross domestic product (GDP)","education","per capita disposable income","life expectancy" four attributes is constructed to measure the green economic developmentindex "economic evaluation data table", were analyzed by using clustering algorithm. This paper introduces the self-organizing Matlab algorithm based on iterative clustering, the threetables were made for further verification, to ensure the accuracy of analysis results. Theeconomic evaluation of the final clustering results of three data tables to analysis, draw thefollowing conclusions: the eastern region of the mineral resources and the total energyconsumption and economic growth are among the first, and the three regions of Eastern, central, western mineral resources and energy consumption and economic growth the gapbetween the growing trend of China’s provinces; comparison of energy consumption andeconomic growth showed a positive correlation.Correlation analysis of data mining in the paper, found in resource abundance otherfactors other than economic development, the research results inspired us economic growthby relying mainly on increased consumption of resources to rely on scientific andtechnological progress, change the quality of workers, improve the management ofenterprises and the government to innovative thinking. Accelerate the transformation ofeconomic development mode. This study provides reference for the formulation ofeconomic development policy.
