Today, prime mover is widely used. Prime mover and it’s speed control system areindispensable in many factories, such as, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and powergeneration. After long-term continuous operation, the control system can be in a non-healthor sub-health state. Once the control system malfunctioned, faults can directly cause hugeeconomic losses to the plant. The longer machines stop, the greater the loss is. So it isparticularly important to do periodic testing, fault diagnosis and maintenance for the controlsystem.Since the huge in size of the actual actuator and controlled object will take too muchcost and space, we can’t take the controlled object, such as actuators and prime mover(steam turbines, internal combustion engines, etc.) into laboratory. We need to monitor thecontrol equipment and do many experiments in the laboratory, such as speed closed-loopexperiments of speed control system and other parameters closed-loop experiments. So it isvery important to study a electronic analog system about prime mover and actuator, whichshould cover as much function as it could.There are two parts in the design of system. The first part is the hardware circuit ofelectronic simulation about prime mover and actuator. The other part is the design ofreal-time monitoring system for the controller system. Hardware circuit design is mainlybased on speed closed-loop circuit, which includes I/V conversion, V/F conversion and arange of signal regulation circuit. We also do other closed-loop experiments about otherparameters of prime mover (such as turbines) and design the corresponding current sourcefollower. Base on KingView, we design a series of interactive interface to implementreal-time monitoring on controller system, which realizes the communications between PCand controller system. We also can get fault alarm about the monitoring system throughmonitoring the data or images. So the fault can be eliminated in time.Finally, we connect electronic simulation system and505E digital speed governorproduced by American WOODWARD Company to closed-loop system. We use themonitoring system to implement real-time monitoring. The experiment proves that thehardware circuit and monitoring system can implement information real-time displayfunction and control the controller system.
