Technology Research Of Mongolian Groupware Based On Flex

China is a unified multi-ethnic country, which includes a total of56nationalities.There are55minorities in addition to the Han. The Mongol nationality is one of minoritieswith large populations, which has a long culture, its own language-Mongolian and its owncharacters-Mongolian characters. The Mongolian Studies research the initial language,writing, history and other traditional subjects, and run to Mongolian economic history,Mongolian art, Mongolian customs, Mongolian medicine and many other subjects.Mongolian Studies has gradually formed a relatively complete system. However, todisseminate and exchange of Mongolian culture needs to combine with the Internet, butMongolian groupware development is relatively backward because of the special nature ofMongolia characters, Mongolian site production is still an important issue in the field ofMongolian informatization.In recent years, Mongolian groupware have made great progress in functions anddisplay effects, such as Mongolian vertical placement issues, Mongolian font downloadproblems, fore and aft uniformity problems, a new line issues, paragraph typesettingproblems, etc. Currently, the key problem of Mongolian groupware development focuses onMongolian display, Mongolian typesetting and Mongolian WYSIWYG background editing,etc. The methods to solve this kind of problem usually are that using eot font embeddingtechnology for Mongolian display, using CSS+JavaScript for Mongolian typesetting, andusing ActiveX controls for background editing. But eot and ActiveX technologies can onlybe used on Microsoft’s IE platform, so cross-platform development of Mongoliangroupware is still not perfect. This paper is based on using Flex to develop Mongoliangroupware, designed to propose a better cross-platform solution for Mongolian groupware.This paper studies the key issues for the development of Mongolian Groupware andproposes the whole idea of developing Mongolian Groupware based on Flex. This paperdescribes the display of Mongolian characters based on Flex, and discusses how to use thepowerful functions of ActionScript3.0to develop foreground display components andbackground WYSIWYG editing component for Mongolian.
