In the era of big data, users require a higher efficiency and stability ofInternet. Content Delivery Network (CDN) can try to avoid the bottleneckof Internet, by placing node server cluster to proxy cache and reduce clientaccess latency. More and more favored by the content provider. As CDNrequires a lot of geographically dispersed server nodes to provide services, server costs and energy consumption have been so high. Although CDNarchitecture has a lot of research, but there are few studies on how toimprove energy efficiency of node servers. Existing CDN node servers arebased on general-purpose processor, CPU based server on a commonstructure due to hardware limitations, is difficult to improve performancewhile lower power consumption, this paper presents a new serverarchitecture based master SOPC and TCP/IP hardware stack. Theprocessing flow of the transport layer protocol is separated from thegeneral-purpose CPU by using a dedicated hardware circuit. The newarchitecture has the same performance with the general-purpose server andcan greatly reduce power consumption. By downloading the file out oforder to improve the system cache hit ratio. Finally use the FPGA to builda prototype and conduct a performance test.
