With the development of cloud computing the shift from locallyinstalled programs to cloud computing is just getting under way in earnest.Mass data which is still growing rapidly need to be delivered to end-userswith high availability and high performance. CDNs serve a large fraction ofthe Internet content today, including web objects (text, graphics, URLs andscripts), downloadable objects (media files, software, documents),applications (e-commerce, portals), live streaming media, on-demandstreaming media, and social networks. Considerable efforts have beeninvested in CDN structure and web caching with different optimizingstrategies, but few existing studies have been directly focused on improvingthe web server of CDN itself. In this paper, we propose a kind of new highefficiency architecture of CDN download server and implement it on FPGA.This paper manage to complete an evaluation system which gets higherthroughput, lower power consumption. The whole system is implementedby hardware to get high efficiency without operating system.
