Since the2008global economic crisis,the economic development slowdown.Especially the impact of the global manufacturing industry, the competition amongthe manufacturing enterprises is more and more intenser. For the modern high-techelectronic products to base to ODM, OEM, it is the key to win the market that they ensurelower cost, faster to produce and customer needs. For electronic products assemblyaccounted for more than50%of its manufacturing time, account for the total cost of morethan20%. Through the research and application of planning and balance for assembly linecan greatly help the enterprises to improve product assembly efficiency and reduce themanufacture cost.Assembly line balancing (ALB) is not only a complex combinatorial optimizationproblem but also a typical NP-Hard problem, so far there is no effective mathematicaloptimal algorithm. In this paper, we researched some characteristicses of the assembly lineof company P notebook (NB), and analyze the significance of research and the difficultiesof assembly line. Firstly, we improved and researched the standard time of operation bythe method of work research on the assembly line. To several different types of assemblyline balance problem for company P, we established the mathematical models to describe,and their various solving method are detailly studied. Based on company P notebook (NB)assembly line balance problem, we constructed framework by genetic algorithm. weensure that all solution were feasible by genetic algorithm,thus we used the modulesegmentation,priority and tool constraint. We used decoding,crossover and mutation tofeasible sequence encoding, and the mathematical model of assembly line balance solveby GA. According to the characteristics of itself (product features), firstly we split it intodifferent production module and adjust the control parameters of genetic algorithm,finally we realized the balance of assembly line. The results show the paper method (GA)can effectively improve production line balance and efficiency, and reduce the assemblycost.
