Design Of IP Camera With Multi-stream Video Coding And Two-way Voice Communicating Functions

The IP camera, which combines the traditional cameras produce technology withthe network technology, is a new generation of cameras. The IP camera has manyadvantages such as easy maintenance, good scalability, and strong networkcompatibility. Hence, IP Cameras, especially IP cameras with two-way voicecommunication functions, are widely applied many fields, such as rescue, surveillanceand video-conference.In the thesis, an IP Cameras with two-way voice communicating Functions isdesigned based a high-performance Davinci TMS320DM365processor. Throughintensive study the hardware architecture and software architecture of DM365embedded system and real-time streaming media transmission protocol including RTP/RTCP/RTSP protocol，an IP camera system with highlights of the multiple videostreams and two-way voice communication is designed and implemented usingTMS320DM365embedded systems, open source Live555media library andmultithreading programming technology. It has many features such as video capture,audio capture, processing multiple video stream encoding, audio encoding processand two-way voice communication. This system can adjust the some parametersincluding resolution, audio encoding bit rate and the frame rate of the output encodedvideo data. The encoded audio data stream will be transmitted in high-qualitymulti-stream way or in low-quality multi-stream way considering different networkenvironment and different network bandwidth. Besides, this system extends the WIFIwireless network transmission module based on TMS320DM365embedded platform.So the audio and video data can be transmitted in a wireless network environment,extending the range of application. A series of tests is made to validate theperformance of IP cameras with multi-stream video coding and two-way voicecommunicating functions. The test results show that the network transmission delayof this system meets the requirements of the real application.
