In recent years,China proposed the concept of building "Green City",which is using complete safety and protetion system to cover the city. Including city's video surveillance system,digital city management system and road transport system and so on, then using the district data exchange platform to share resources.The video monitor system is very important which is used to sample data.But the tradition "close monitor system" has been completely unable to meet people's needs because of it's distance constraints.In this case Video Server come into people's eyes.The Video Server can greatly upgrade the tranditional monitoring system to open system.Nowadays ATM has came into our daily lives,and brought us lots of convenience. With the wide use of ATM it exposed serious security issues and billing disputes. How to use ATM safely and to reduce disputes between banks and customers?how to protect the safety of our customers and to prevent ATM crime?It is a pressing problem.This paper design a kind of Video Server which is especially for ATM with image processing funtions.It has general Video Server's capabilities, as well as ATM smart image recognition especially for ATM, such as it will alarm when somebody come into the bank at 11 pm to 7 am,and remind staff or other people safety when there are more than two face behind the ATM withdrawals.Taking the future development trend into account,the hardware platform choose TI's high performance DM365 as the core,and expanding the power module,memory module,video capture module,audio module and image processing module externally. The system choose Linux operating system which has a rich source code and high stability, and on that basis, complete software development platform and the design of drivers.Then finish the encoding, remote monitoring and intelligent features function.I completed the following major tasks:first I reseached the product's situation and designed the overall framework according to the working principle of Video Server,then analysized customers'need to determine product's performance;Then complete the selection of indicators according to it's framework and performance parameters;Last I complete the hardware platform's design,and finish the setting up of sofeware development environment and driver development.The design has been tested to achieve the basic function well, and be able to complete the four-way real-time image acquisition and encoding,and can identify a variety of simulated environments alarm,also output the alarm information.In addition we test the Video Server's performance.It achieves a real-time Dl image coding and transmission 25fps per channel, meets the design requirements.
